We are running a “junk drumming” workshop on Saturday 10th May where kids can learn to make beats on stuff they find around the house.
Who says that you need drums to be a drummer?
The junk drumming workshop is an introduction to the world of rhythm and beats.
The great thing is that you won’t be using any “proper” musical instruments, instead you will be using anything that can make a sound.
Creativity, exploration and group performance are key here!
For children (8-12 yrs)
Making sounds with improvised musical instruments support the idea that things can be recycled and radically transformed.
For teenagers (13-17 yrs)
It does not matter if you are new to music and rhythm or if you already play an instrument, this workshop is aimed to improve your creativity, knowledge about rhythm and your ensemble performance skills.
The course takes place in The Music Room at Out of the Blue and will be taught by the fabulous Davide Rinaldi.
Class times
